I don't think I've ever seen Dr Who, but I'm glad to see folks tying the knot in whatever way that means something to them. Very cool.

he's this swashbuckling, dashing, but conman-ish guy--sorta an errol flynn type-- on the show. (and he's kinda cute, but a little too all-American looking for me)

Also, it's cool he's getting his own spinoff.
