Help me be Mrs. Santa (advice needed) →[More:]Every year since he was old enough to understand what was going on, I've called my best friend's kid on Christmas Eve and pretended to be Mrs. Santa. This year he's on the verge of not believing anymore, and his parents think he's going to check the caller ID to see where Mrs. Santa's call comes from. I thought of a telegram, but Western Union doesn't deliver on Saturdays and the other telegram options are horridly expensive. Any thoughts?

A letter with a thematic stamp, and a helpful post office employee to void it (or whatever the term is)? You could just slip it into the mailbox. Will the post office be open tomorrow?

kenko, last year he turned to his Mom after I called and said, "It's very strange how much Mrs. Santa sounds like Auntie Puddinghead". I mean, the kid knows but doesn't want to know, you know? Oh, and thanks for the letter idea, but he lives in another state.

Thnks for the thoughts, all. Here's the devious plan... another friend is going to call and pretend to be Mrs. S, using caller ID blocking. At the same time I'm going to call and talk to his mom on her cell phone. So how could I possibly be Mrs. Santa if I'm on the phone with his mom at the same time??? Huh???
