22 December 2005

Radio b - the Mid-Life Crisis edition. Coming your way at approximately half-past the hour. [More:] Today I am officially older than dirt. Expect two-and-a-half hours of self-indulgence, varying levels of guitar franzy, more feedback that is strictly needed, a shout-out to all the December birthday types, and a salute to the late Joe Strummer on the third anniverasry of his death.
Happy 40th[???], Markey Mark!

Good guess, but that was five years ago. *weeps copiously*

I had this big argument with my friend last night about whether 40 or 45 was officially "middle aged". He's 41 and he thinks the border is 40. I'm 39.886 and I think the border is 45.
posted by matildaben 22 December | 14:12
I'm 42. I think the border is Blaine.

Altered Images – Happy Birthday
Sugarcubes – Birthday
Patti Smith – Free Money
Bettye Lavette – Sleep to Dream

Up next, my own personal theme song.

matildaben - I'm liking that album quite a bit.

Half-past... nice. :D

It looks like a good set- wish I could listen at work! And happy birthday, bmarkey. (I turned 40 this year, so I say middle-aged starts at about 50.)

Thanks. I'm inclined to think that 45 is the divider, as I have no intetion of living past 90 :)

Truthfully, I figured we'd all be radioactive dust blowing around the bomb craters before we got out of the 80s, so everything else is gravy.

And I'm back, so you have 3 listeners.

And I guess pretty much all us of in the 40-something range thought we were all going to be nuked back to the age of roaches and weeds by the time the 80's were up. Thanks, Reagan.
