United Airlines is getting coal for christmas. My son was supposed to arrive at the Raleigh airport tonight at 11pm. We got a computerized call that because of flight delays it will be 8 in the morning. No weather delays, according to the website it was "customer service" reasons.

Customer service my hiney. Haven't seen him for a year! WAAAAAAAA!

What the hell is a customer service related delay? In my mind, a United employer decided to be a total dick and not board anyone for the flight but that doesn't sound right.

Also, sorry you'll be seeing the child a bit later then expected. That would suck.

Haha, Darth Santa is scary!

Sorry about your son, bunnyfire. I can't imagine what "customer service" reasons are- maybe they ran out of soda, and they had to run the plane by the local Wal-Mart to pick some up?

Damn, that sucks. We're flying to Auckland on Christmas Eve, arriving 1am on the 25th. There's gonna be hell of scheduling issues if Qantas decides to give us some of that "customer service".

Apparently he will be spending the night at Dulles in Washington. If my computer fu is correct his first flight lands around ten minutes. His royal highness has no clue that we already know about his reschedule, and in fact according to the customer service lackey I finally got hold of, HE doesn't know till he lands.

Ahhh, getting nervous about my own Christmas Eve flight. Especially because I fly with my dog in-cabin, and if there's a delay, there's really nothing I can do with her but keep her in her bag, which she doesn't really enjoy.

Aw, bunnyfire, that sucks. Sorry about the delay.

Ditto. My son got home safe and sound Thursday and is eating us out of house and home again.

"customer service" reasons = "we didn't have enough passengers on this flight to make money so we cancelled it"
