The best thing about being at home all day is being able to make a hot lunch!→[More:]Which in my case was bacon, then an egg cooked in the bacon fat, then wilted spinach, all wrapped up with grated cheese and mango salsa and chipotle taco sauce inside a corn tortilla. Mmmmmm.
I'm going to bake two muffins tonight. I plan to poke my thumbs into them and sleep soundly, knowing that the worst that could happen is a muffin in the eye.
I made a steak for lunch today. It wasn't as good as what we get for family meal at work, but as the weather continues it's attempt to catch up on a 7 month precipitation deficit in 7 short days, 'eating in' was very cozy.
My thumbs might be less sharp if I clipped the nails, is all. I hope I don't have the same dream again.
I gotta walk the bridge tomorrow afternoon to get to Penn Station by 6:20 for my train to the Land of Pleasant Living and the giggles of my wee nephew preparing for Santa's visit. Like dry leaves before the wild hurricane fly...
The way my life as gone thus far, I'll probably die of wounds inflivted accidentaly by a flung picket sign. I'm gonna carbo load and shower tonight.
In other news, my 24-hour-urine-collection vessel just arrived. It's gonna have to wait until next weekend. Or I could carry it with me tommorrow just as a conversation piece. and for convenience.
Couple of weeks ago I breakfasted on a big old steak fried medium-rare in butter with mushrooms and an egg and a bunch of fresh parboiled asparagus on the side. Working from home is pretty sweet.
