Let the snarking begin. [More:]
I posted it because it's an angle on the story which hasn't been covered already, but I know I'm going to get crucified for it. Should I even bother to read the comments when they come in?
ee, you are clearly an irresponsible demagogue and a lawless hooligan. You will be crushed.

(I actually like posts that bring an historical perspective to current events... so, good luck with it.)

WTF is "snarking?" Etymology?
posted by Eideteker 21 December | 09:35
snide comments made in response to a post. Etymology: It just is. Accept it.

snark·y
adj. Slang., -i·er, -i·est.

Irritable or short-tempered; irascible.

[From dialectal snark, to nag, from snark, snork, to snore, snort, from Dutch and Low German snorken, of imitative origin.]

Nope. My mistake. It's Hugh's thumb.

I always thought snark came from Lewis Carrol's The Hunting of the Snark.
