Fiddling with the radio and trying to find something palatable, I found a station playing holiday music 24/7. Before long I was singing along to White Christmas.

And today, in the mood I'm in, that qualifies as a wow moment!

I'm listening to the Harvey Girls new album on my iPod right now! Wow!

My best friend called in the early hours of the morning to tell me he's engaged. That was a yay! moment, so I hope it's still allowed here. :)

Yay, wow, w00t... it's all good. Except for the expression "it's all good", which, ironically enough, is not.

(Because I'm the best one! And she wants to have a crazy fun bachelorette party!)

I called the airlines yesterday to see if I could stay in FL an extra day when I go home- if there was room on any flights and how much something like that would cost- and they ended up giving me a credit of $160 to do it! Wow! That means I get to go to my friend's engagement party! Yipee!

I am going to Tampa Bay to be with my family.

I'd given up all hope of scoring a plane ticket back to Texas for xmas. Thing is, I didn't really even want to go. I just spent a ten days with my family at Thanksgiving, and I really hate the town where my folks live. Plus, it's a long flight, and there aren't any direct flights from here to there. Still, it would have been my first xmas away from home; I've always made it back before.

The Southwest reward ticket that I'd been counting on fell through. Stupid Hilton still hasn't credited they points I need toward a free fly. And then there was the possibility of cashing in the Hilton miles themselves for a free ticket. Turns out that takes 7 days, though, and I didn't call them until the 18th. (At this point, the cheapest ticket I can find is $700, so I've pretty much resigned myself to not going.)

But at the last minute, a friend comes through with some frequent flyer miles, and now I have a free $1,200 ticket.

Like I said, I didn't really want to go. But my mom's been sick, and it's scary, and no one tells me anything, so I'm pretty happy to get the chance to check things out for myself.

It's sort of Wow. Not like "wow, I get to go home," but "wow, I really need to do laundry because I'm getting on a plane in two days."

My wow factor is low right now, but on the upswing, so may I wow in anticipation of future wow-ness?

WOW! I got offered two free months of Amazon prime as a trial. I like it so much I think I'm going to fall for their underhanded tactic and sign up for reals. After my free 2 months end of course.

so I step out to the backyard of the house we just moved into and I'm having my coffee and i notice a damselfly hovering around and I realise I can SMELL the forest, (the national park) thats just around the corner. WOW!

My Wows:

1. Getting completely caught up in the 1st reel of the Narnia movie, esp. when Lucy meets Tumnus.

2. Looking at pipes in a local shop that were so pretty I almost considered starting to visit my auntie again.

3. Realizing that I ended 2005 better than when it began, despite the horrors during.

4. Seeing an almost all-white Portuguese Water Dog puppy my breeder had on her last litter, birthed by the sister of my dog.
