The Master and Margarita: On the BBC world news today I heard that a 10 part adaptation of Bulgakov's The Master and Margarita is going to begin airing on Russian television tonight. I don't speak more than a lick of Russian (for those who do, here's the official site for the series), but I'd love to at least see this, since I'm somewhat familiar with the story. Anyone know of any good Russian torrent sites that don't require membership where I might find this?

Holy crap, that would be pretty awesome (or more likely, pretty terrible... I'd still like to see it). I don't know any Russian either, but I suspect I could at least sort of follow it. LiveJournal is pretty popular in Russia. Perhaps you could make a post to an LJ community? I know I'm going to look around. I have at least one Russian friend on LJ so I'll check with her.

The videos page on the official site offers some glimpses of the footage. Not terrible but not amazing either. And I would have picked a different looking actor for Woland.

Yeah, the preview seemed overly action-oriented and dramatic. And I agree on the pick for Woland. That dude looks to old and scary. I was stoned the entire time I read that book though, so maybe I missed something. Doesn't much matter, I still would like to see it.

I found parts 1-3 (I think) at torrents.ru, but I did end up having to register. You guys can do the same (the form is in Russian, but it's the same exact form you use for any php based forum), or if someone wants to suggest a tracker I can create new torrents and upload there once I've got complete copies. Sorry I can't do one of theme fancy-shmancy azureus magnet links cuz I don't use Azureus.
