I think it's always been iffy about Beck, IIRC his parents are in it and there has been back and forth about how deep his involvement goes. That said, I haven't bought one of his CDs since I first heard about it.

Yeah, Beck was actually raised in it. His wife is actively involved, but he's mainly downplayed it in interviews. Unlike, um, somebody else. There may be signs of a deeper influence in his work, though.
