My first and only exposure to yoga was bikram. Not exactly the wisest of choices, but it was interesting. The 'om' thing, however, sounds much less traumatic.

Fris: the word yoga means discipine, or study of. There are many kinds of yoga: hatha yoga, which you do with your body (Bikram, Iyengar, etc.); dhyana yoga, which is meditation; dharma yoga, which is yoga through action (think monks), etc etc.

Speck, I wasn't dissing yoga, but the bikram branch was punishment for my body and psyche, pure and simple. Something challenging yet restorative sounds more worthwhile.
