when did chicken start to cost as much as gas?
as i use to use either gas or chicken prices as an economic barometer, they both say everything sucks, economically.

Ugh, I have to go to a "Intra Lab Christmas Potluck."

Years (ugh, too many of them) past I went all out and did creative/yummy stuff (prawn toast, mini-veal parmesean, various Cantonese deserts). This year I'm just going to cheap out and bring a (mostly) vegetarian cold side (sliced dry/"liver" bean curd [people who've never had it before have guessed to my face "it's turkey breast, isn't it?] with carrot & celery slices in soy/fish-sauce/chili, and sauteed garlic).

Haystacks are butterscotch, chow mein noodles and peanut butter melted together in one giant sugar laden festival that looks like a mini haystack. I'd post a pic but they're already gone. :P
