Saltines and sparkling water usually does it for me. Once you're feeling a little better, maybe make yourself a grilled ham & cheese sandwich.

Cambells condensed chicken noodle soup and saltines. Lots of saltines.

Not that you're a baby, but for upset stomachs and nausea, pediatricians recommend what they call the BRAT diet.

B ananas
R ice
A pplesauce
T oast

and any other white or light plain food - easy to keep down. Hate to say it but probably the thing that will make you feel better the quickest is to puke up the oysters. Hope you feel better!

Clear liquids until you feel better. Anything you can see light through and is liquid at room temperature, so J-E-L-L-O counts.

I'm a big fan of Pepto Bismol for nausea.

the oysters removed themselves
and feeling puky is an unfortunately familiar feeling
i live off malox chewables
luckily i just bought ginger ale, but it's crappy ginger ale.
i never had a papaya shake from papaya king but i bet it would help or make you puke.

i seriously think it's so dry my body thinks it's dehydrated. it's like a hangover with out haven't not gotten over anything. i think my eardrums will dessicate and pop any second now. it feels like i'm in colorado.

i have an unreasonable amount of jello i will never use for anything but jello shots and novelty food. it's not really for eating.

i'd hurt people for good curry, though.

Toast with butter/margarine.

Our sick food is boiled (instead of steamed) short grain rice, with a little olive oil and lemon. It's kind of like a quick, basic risotto.

this ginger ale has no ginger. it's officially impostorade. how wrong.

Coca cola, drink of the gods. For hangover nausea, salt & vinegar potato chips. For other nausea, salad.

it suddenly occurs to me that a reuben would be the best thing ever right now
or pot stickers

oh perfect food delivery santa, where art thou?

Are you blaming oysters? (must be bad oysters 'cause oysters are part of my safe-list when I'm hurting.)

McDonald's chicken nuggets - believe it or not - are something I can munch, swallow, and not reject when I'm really hurting.

More conventional items include buttered (no margarine, no "I can't believe it's not - because you won't - crap", just good ol' cow udder fat) toast. If it's *really* hurting, then dipping the toast in tea (sugared & milked in extreme cases) makes it more palatable.

For borderline cases, crepes with cheese & bacon filling can be kept down. For some reason, high quality sashimi can settle my stomache, too.

mmmm, oyyysters. I'm going to have to break budget and get a dozen raw rock oysters, niponese (style - on a practical basis; it'd take too long to get to a decent western-style oyster bar on public transit), tomorrow.

Ok, on review, I'm a freak. Nevermind.

the oysters, they were not fresh
and i had so been missing seafood.
also some wonderfully rosasted rosemary chicken with wine poaching was involved.
vomiting is such a waste all around
especially when there is an herbed eggwhite omelet involved

i can't believe i didn't get any fruit at the store
i have pomegranates though.
hmm.
i may have to make soup or scramble some eggs. too bad i lack all dill.
or take sleepytime medicines...

Glad I'm not the only freak who eats chicken nuggets (usually with honey) after being sick!

Rice pudding is another favorite of mine for sore tummies.

Campbell's Tomato Soup, made with half a can of cream. So delish.

i never had a papaya shake from papaya king

that is the chalkiest motherfucking drink in the whole world, it's basically like sucking on a papaya chemical lozenge for an hour and then licking the cliffs of Dover. El disgustero, for reals.

When I really can't keep much of anything down, it's a pretty limited range:

- Chicken noodle soup, Campbell's ONLY. (yeah, I keep some on hand just for hangovers or stomach flu.) Saltines on the side if I'm really feeling adventurous.
- Applesauce. My mom always said the pectin in it would settle the stomach.
- Cream of wheat with a teensy bit of sugar.
- Hot tea or 7-Up.

That's about it.
