I stopped reading wil wheaton before I started, because he's a pretentious wanker with no talent. His writing is all verbosity with very little content.
He's a Fark diety, which tends to make me not care for him. But I care even less about him, so I have no reason at all to make this post.
I know my aversion to Fark is its own kind of elitism. But it's pretty mild, compared to some others. Besides, who doesn't have their "I like this and you don't even know about it/you like that so it makes you a wanker" hang-ups? And who am I arguing with here? SHOW YOURSELF!
I cannot resist commenting in any thread that mentions PBR about my distaste for hipsters or whatever they are called. Just 'cause it's good don't make it ironic.
You know... I keep seeing references to PBR, and I wonder if they changed their recipe or something, because when I was still living in the U.S., it was pretty much universally despised.
So what's the deal now? Is PBR supposed to be hipster? Or über-hipster because anti-hipster? Is PBR the new black?
Or is everybody really talking about Professional Bull Riders, and I'm just even more confused than I thought I was?
(and why do I keep asking these questions when I know everybody in the U.S. is asleep?)
PBR still pretty much tastes the same as it always has: not bad, for a "sex in a canoe" beer. The sad thing is, the hipsters (for whatever unfathomable hipster reason) have latched onto it as the beer of choice. I think it's the same principle that made those dumbass ironic trucker caps so popular awhile back; it's a chance for the trust-fund kids to wallow in the "look at me, I'm low-rent" aesthetic without having to actually be, y'know, working class. For those of us who grew up around people who wore those caps without a speck of irony, the charm was lost.
Believe me, Professional Bull Riders would be much more fun.
