I met Nixon! →[More:]Cinnamon and I met mrs.pants for Korean Friday night. It was lots and lots of good food. I drove mrs.pants home afterward, which meant I got to meet her pigeon, Nixon! (Well, and her cat, who is also pretty cool.)

Nixon is quite the pidge. He coos and squawks and karate-chops with his wings. Seemed quite excited to have company.

How was your weekend?

Holy crap I love that poise site. The way it looks, and the bags on it. I make bags too, so I appreciate all the work that went into the ones she's made.

I don't sell them, I just give them as gifts. I grow my own bamboo to make cool handles with. Sewing is so fun.

Hah - it grows like a weed, Speck! Anyone can grow it. I'm no great gardener, believe me.

I also use wood for the inside bottom of the tote bags (to reinforce them), and I hand paint designs and messages on it. Seriously, everyone should make a tote bag. It's very theraputic. And when you're done you have something cool to carry all your duct tape in, so it's a win-win situation!

There were indeed doodles, ico. And lots of posters for magicians (Carter, Keller, etc.).

And home-grown bamboo handles? That's just awesome.

Things I learned :

1. Andrew and Cinnamon are super nice super fun people.
2. don't eat the whole bibim bap -- it is too much
3. prius' are neat, and they have futuristic computers everywhere!
4. octopus is apparently kind of sweet
5. octopi are hunting in the shedd aquarium!
6. internet people sure are nice!
7. if you eye the super cool chicago flag gapers block button, perhaps it will be given to you...
