Frisbee took that photo during our jaunt to Berkeley. The pizza is served by the Cheese Board. Folks line up out the door for their pizza, whose toppings change daily.
I was griping to her before we got there about how the pizza ALWAYS, ALWAYS has cilantro on it. Only once have I eaten it, because only once have I been there when the pizza was cilantro-free. (And let me tell you, it was damn good.)
When we got there, sure enough -- cilantro.
I think your name was mentioned when she took the shot, bunnyfire.
To be fair, it looks like an olive oil based pizza instead of tomato sauce. With those toppings and that base I can completely understand the lemon zest.
Actually, the horrible thing that's done to pizza is done by such establishments as Dominoes. This actually sounds good, though I find that lime might be a better pairing with cilantro.
Cheese Board! Hey, don't knock the lemon zest till you've tried it. They have a corn and lemon zest and cilantro pizza that I love. They really DON'T put cilantro on all their pizzas, though. You've just had bad luck.
They also have hot fresh bread in the mornings. And they get really excited about cheese. I love them love them love them.
