The answer is [More:]Jeez! Stupid College Jeopardy students! That questions was a giveaway!
The question is always a giveaway. If you have a vague knowledge of the topic, the question is always whatever the most obvious thing would be.

Is *that* how the game's played? I'm usually better than the players on Jeopardy, now I wonder if I should try to be a contestant? Do I need to brush up on trivial Russian Lit?

I thought this particular question was too obvious and had been "dumbed down" for the College version of the game. Pass the bong.

The test to get on is really hard. (Though I was screwed over by cheaters back when I tried to get on high school Jeopardy.) It's unused final questions from the Tournament of Champions, the hardest they can come up with, and the only ones that might diverge from the general rule I noted above. If you can get through that, then you have to do a buzzer challenge, which againis part of what sinks people: if you buzz in before this offstage light goes out, you are locked out for the whole question, so you cn't just press it over & over.

But yeah, submit your name for tryouts. The people I met who actaully studied did terribly. It's a question of lots of random knowledge.

I almost made the cut for Who Wants to be a Millionaire?, the daytime version (the one with the woman host and without the initial speed round). I took a test before watching two episodes get taped, and then was held after with about five other people for an interview.

I'm sure my honesty helped do me in -- Do you watch our show? No way. Why not? TV sucks, so I don't have one. Why are you here? A friend of mine gave me his ticket yesterday before he left town for a funeral, and I didn't have anything better to do.

I'm also sure my 100% on the test disqualified me. Who wants to give away $1,000,000?
