How many servings of turkey dinner have you had? →[More:]I'm on my fifth. If I have turkey dinner for breakfast and lunch tomorrow that will make seven in a row.
sadly enough, I did not have any turkey this year.
there was the vegetarian lasagna, and the vegetarian pad thai, and of course the very non-vegetarian game hens that I personally made. but no turkey. not to mention the extremely non-vegetarian (beef)bacon-wrapped dates (with pits replaced by almonds), which even some of the vegetarians present felt strangely compelled to eat.
ZERO, but I made a delicious chicken soup with yuzu honey. Chicken is a bird... and soup is kind of like a feast all in one pot, no? I also made mashed potatoes.
But anyway, I guess the answer is still zero, you smug, turkey-stuffed bastards.
[Well, I suppose the gendered cursing is out of character for me, but apparently I am chanelling a bit of the cranky as well.]
One serving for Thanksgiving plus one serving in the form of turkey tacos on taco Friday. Up next: Southwestern turkey casserole and Turkey soup with cabbage, onion, and carrots.
I haven't had many, but I have a whole other turkey in the freezer now.
Not sure when I will make it, but I suspect it will be soon since it takes up too much space.
3 servings on thursday. 2 on friday (open-face turkey sandwiches with butter and mashed potatoes and gravy - greatest use of leftovers ever). Another 1 on Saturday. Just about killed everything but the yams.
