Wow! Before today I had only heard that version back in '72 (?) on a crappy AM transistor radio from my hometown station (which played country music from 6 am to noon, pop singles from noon to 7 pm, and free form rock from 7 to 11). This certainly brings back memories. Thanks for digging this up, BP!

I'd actually NEVER heard this version till I found it today... I actually became a Kraftwerk fan when a very stoned-sounding DJ at a station in Carrollton, Georgia decided to play "Autobahn" (the full-strength, 20-something minute version) late one evening while I was listening to the radio with headphones on, which I used to do a lot in those days... this was probably 1978 or so. It changed my life. Heh heh!
