(at this point, you sense math coming and start to gaze furtively around the room)

Heh. One of my great regrets was that I never followed up with my first calculus class after I switched schools.

i keep thinking that my not so substantial mathematical ability should result in someone coming up to me and offering me a million dollas to sit around and do integrals or find hamiltonians or something.
so far the world has yet to beat a path to my door. apparently there's an line of people stretching from behind me all the way to beijing full of people who will do my job cheaper. this represents 1/15th of the problem with my current line of work, and is motivating my change of careers to cowboy-astronaut.
