I'm posting this song as a thinly veiled excuse for starting another Chicago meetup thread. Let's finalize, shall we?→[More:]

I'm now staying in a hotel downtown (Me3, I sent you an email) and will be meeting up with goat around 4. Slack, you said you'd be free around then too, right?

Anyone who's free that early, send me an email. And for those of you who actually work and stuff, did we ever decide on a bar?

And Mrspants, if you're not there, I'll kick your ass. ...Even though it's hard to kick ass when someone's not there. Trust me, I'll find a way.

Woo downtown! : ) It sounded like there were a lot of people who were okay with Billy Goat. (There's a little back room with several tables in it that would be a good meetup place.) That would be my preference, although anywhere downtown would be all right. I work til 5pm so I'll get there shortly after that time. : ) Can't wait to meet people!

OK - I say we just go with Billy Goat and be done with it. And to clarify, we're talking about the original Billy Goat Tavern at 430 N. Michigan Ave / Lower Level (near Tribune Towers and Wrigley Building). Mapquest. I don't recall there being a backroom at this location.

And I think the official meeting time was somewhere between 6:00 and 7:00. Correct?

Can someone second this so we can close the "where/when" conversation.

I second this! "This" being Billy Goat between 6 and 7.

(There is a little backroom. It says "VIP Room," but I think mudpuppie counts.)
