If you could go only one place in the world, where would it be? And why?[More:]Uh-huh. I have nothing left in me for work. Need entertainment (and potential travel ideas?) for the rest of the day.
I'd like to see the Northern Lights do their spectacular thing. So, I guess I'd go north.

Hakone, Japan. For the hot springs.

I want to see Pompeii

Wherever my true love is, despite the unrequitedness of the whole thing...

I don't know if it would be the only place, but I would like very much to go to Alaska and the parts of Canada that are like Alaska.

I hear Iceland is something to see.

Italy. Art, culture, history, weather, food. Matteo.

Oh and as for me, I really wanna see the Sahara. I loves me some desert. And I'd love to go across the middle of Australia. And pretty much any barren inhospitable landscape.

Specklet, you were supposed to say "mudpuppie's house."

Paris, for the wine & scenery.

Back to Prince Edward Island.

Oops, I should have noticed that you were all hot for the northern lights and didn't say "Specklet's house". Welp, we've blown it now.

Back into the womb, the world's too damned scary and stupid!

New Zealand, because it looks to be jaw-droppingly, mind-bendingly beautiful; I just wish I'd gotten there before the hobbits did.

I'd like to see Scandinavia.

Damn hobbits! Can't go anywhere on the South Island without tripping over one. They should wear orange flags, like Amish carriages. Er ...

Yeah, New Zealand for me. Australia's up there too.

Right now I just want to get back to Chicago before I permanently lose contact with the things I love there.

Scandinavia -- thought that would be cool, but it just looks like northern Wisconsin, with a very thick accent.

Vancouver Island, because it's beautiful. And it's an island. Islands rock.

Definitely: Antarctica.

Anywhere with seasons. Back to New Zealand would be nice for a while, but I would get sick of the shitty weather. For anything long term/permanent, I would rather stay just where I am, thanks.

Rome. To see the aurora. Earth orbit. Antarctica. New Zealand. Santa Barbara. San Francisco. New York City.

Sorry, I can't have only one.

Exploring in rural Japan, or back to Scotland.

Jerusalem. To see if God is closer there, and for the history.

New Zealand for me as well, or maybe Hokkaido.

Ireland, to look up my homez. Especially County Cavan, to steep in the lore of my ancestor Myles the Slasher.

I've always wanted to go to Siberia. Go figure. I just like the idea: the targa, the nomads, the cold, the whole desolation thing. Tundra. Reindeer. Russian mafia - it's all good.

Failing Siberia, New Zealand, India or Italy.

Madagascar. More varieties of Baobob trees than anywhere else AND the world's smallest species of chameleon. Before it's gone.

But, upon re-reading...only once place? Then, basically anyplace with lots of green and hills/small mountains and critters... no flat places.

Baobab trees always remind me of Le Petite Prince!

Can't pick just one. But for the moment, I'll say Ukraine, to see where my grandfather came from.
