Mix CD Help If anyone has a digital file of any of the songs listed in the linked photo, could you post it on yousendit please, and link it here? I would like to help the Portland MeFites realize this mix.[More:]P.S. I already have Afternoon Delight; someone posted it here in the recent past. I will also gladly admit to having both Supertramp songs listed (as well as the entire albums they come from).
I hate you for putting Afternoon Delight in my head.

Oh, you have the Supertramps. Oh well.

I've got three of them.

Afternoon Delight
(It was a joke! I downloaded it as a joke!)

Heart of Glass

Feel Like Makin' Love (not the original)

[On preview -- beaten, dammit!]

I have Jailbreak but I'm at work. I'll yousendit when i gets home. I will include Cowboy Song, you must also have Cowboy Song. It's been voted Best Thin Lizzy song year after year - by me.

Afternoon Delight is no joke. It's by a DC band, which automatically makes it art.

I have a great version of Heart of Glass, I can't remember if it's a remix or a demo or what, but it's early and reggeafied, it's better than the album version. I can link it tomorrow.

I don't know about you all, but I really, really, really hope somebody has McCarthy Park.

Someone left the Cohn out in the rain ...

stilicho, that'll have me snickering at ill advised moments all night long at work.

Good lord that's funny!

"...and I'll never have list of 205 people that were known to the Secretary of State as being members of the Communist Party again."

Cowboy Song rocks! For me one of the greatest moments in rock and roll is the transition between "Cowboy Song" and "Boys Are Back In Town" on Live and Dangerous. It might very well be the greatest live segue ever.

omiewise: There was an ice cream store in Gaithersburg (in the 70s) called "Afternoon Delight" around the same time that the song was popular. I don't know which came first. I remember riding in the car with my mother on the way to the ice cream store and that song would inevitably come on. It wasn't until years later that I learned the song was about a "nooner." Not sure what my mother's excuse for not knowing that though. She loved singing it.

Nostalgia or no, the song still is eeeevil because of the way it sticks in the brain.

slack - I must get that "live" disc, haven't heard it, but their live DVD in Australia is incredible!
I put live in quotes cuz i remember in an interview with producer Tony Visconti, he explains how the guitar solo overdubs got way out of hand, to the point where a large portion of it became studio created. The sessions ran a week or two over schedule. That's what happens when you're dealing with two competitive axe shredding heroin addicts.

Whatever, yeah it rocks...two(!) of the most incredible solos ever.

Who the heck does "Vehicle"? I don't know if I've ever heard of that song.

Meanwhile, reliving my childhood with the rest of them.

"Vehicle" was performed by the Ides of March. Can't help you with a file, but here are the lyrics.

Thanks, I'm finding most of them on Soulseek. Threw in a couple extras of my own, like "Horse with No Name" and "More Than A Feeling."

I have all the songs now, thanks. Mix forthcoming.

Different Superstar
Different Making Love

Enjoy... possibly?

Couldn't find the live Godzilla, though. If you want it for some reason or another, e-mail me. I can always re-rip it.

Eide - the live Godzilla finds you, not the other way around. Don't you know "he's got to go"? Listen to the message the BOC is spittin', man. It just might save your life.
