Ask MetaChat: Simple http server? I know I saw an AskMe about this..→[More:]
but I can't find it now. I've seen at least two Ask questions where people recommended a very simple Windows HTTP file server for sharing a directory with friends. Anyone remember it, or have a similar recommendation?

I got the impression that this was a really compact program with a very minimal configuration process, basically just "Share this directory, please."

Not sure if this is what you want but it is the easiest web server I know of and it does work well.

You may be thinking of SlimFTPd, or another lightweight FTP server?
