New XP Install Question about slipstreaming a Win XP Home edition install to include SP2 and a SATA controller driver: [More:]The SATA drive is a Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 9 250 GB. The board is an Asus A8V-E SE. The best slipstreaming instructions I have found so far are here, but both this process and SATA drives are new to me. Does this look like it will work? Can I boot from this drive and make it the only one in my new PC? If it comes to it, I'll just throw in an old IDE drive and use that to hold the OS, but I'm trying to keep this box relatively light. Thanks for any input you can give me!
I recommend using nlite. It simplifies the whole process and has decent instructions.
