The Future We Were Promised →[More:]This was posted on MeFi a few years ago by madamjujujive and amberglow's "roadside" post today reminded me of it.

Not nearly as extensive as the flickr collection, but full of gorgeous colors, sexy designs and the stuff with which my over-active imagination loves to toy.

I hate this stuff. It looks shiny on paper, but if you've ever seen an "urban renewal" project from the sixties, you know what the real effect of the modernist future would have been.

/blames modernism for his city's foundering. And for killing bunnies.

popular ethics, I fully empathize with your frustration. However, Radebaugh's beautifully rendered and imaginative flights of fancy were just that; poorly trained planners and bad design are the culprits at hand in your example.
