Ask MeCha: Blackberry anyone? Any of you super savvys have one of these devices? Are you happy with it? on a scale of 1-5 when 1 is completely dissatisfied and 5 is completely satisfied How is coverage/line droppage? Is it a Sprint thing or GSM? If a cat is stripey and you shaved it, would its skin be stripey?

That is all.
I was offered one through work, and I ran in the opposite direction. The geek in me is very tempted, but the rest of me that wants to continue having a life was too horrified to play.

I've never known a person who owned one that wasn't provided by their employer. Workberries are evil. They just expand your working hours.

However, if it was your own, and just synched to your own email and wasn't a corporate leash, it might be fun.

I have one via my employer, although I've yet to get a work related call or email on it other than a few brief replies to email I've sent.

Service on mine is through Verizon, who have the best wireless coverage in NYC. It's also been fine in Michigan, New Jersey, Madison, Santa Fe and Denver's airport.

I have used one, not the easiest of interfaces, but it worked. There is some uncertainty over BlackBerry in the US due to some patent fun.

I think they are ugly and a wierd shape for phone use and not the only option with the 'push' technology any more. I would do more research into alternatives if I were you.

I like to cook blackberries with sugar and put them over vanilla ice cream.

I chose between a Blackberry and a new Clie UX50 and ended up going with the Clie because I don't like being tethered all the time. And the Clie has a sweet backlit keyboard that makes all the girls swoon!

Besides, the Clie has much better games, plays videos, mp3s and has both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi as well as a camera!
