Ask MeCha When I am in the car, on a long trip, the game we play is to take the names of exits and append the last name of whoever is with me in the car to name their imagined children. Examples would be "Belvedere Genoa Steichmann," to use my last name, or "Paw Paw Lawton Chatfield" to use the last name of my girlfriend. Some sound aristocratic, some sound white trash ("Lucky Haskins Chatfield"), some sound deliciously exotic ("El Dorado Omega Steichmann").[More:]

Think about the exits near where you live and tell me their names. If the order's wrong, think about coming from the opposite directio, so that it's right.
For bonus points, tell me the highway that they come from (El Dorado Omega is from I-75 in Florida, Paw Paw Lawton is from I-94 in Michigan, Lucky Haskins is from I-69 in Indiana, if I recall correctly).
In my area you'd have a lot of children named things like "156th Avenue".

If I go out 19/23 (now actually I-26, but the signs still say Future 26, although it's been finished for over a year now) a few exits from Asheville I get things like Jupiter and Mars Hill, which are good. Also, if I get on I-40 heading down the mountain I pass the exit for Bat Cave. I think I'll name my next kid Jupiter Bat Cave. Hell, I might have done that even without the geographical promptings.

Totally!

Yeah, I'm afraid here we'd have 39th Avenue and I205. Or Morisson Bridge. Which actually isn't too bad.

There's a Zuzax exit about ten miles out of town, which sounds like a Dr. Seuss character to me... Jupiter Bat Cave? Any relation to the Zappas?
