Strange rumple, you probably picked this out from all the links in the "Kick-ass guide" post just as I did and I just did my map as well. MeFites think alike I suppose.
there's a temptation here to lie and post a map only with the weird/bizarre countries filled in. ie pretensions of only ever going to, say, w. sahara, somalia, bhutan, mongolia, etc., i.e. places few of us are likely to have e' kind of comment.
ps i pwn j00 for states. i only got kansas because of an emergency landing once.
Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennesee, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, N & S Carolina, Virginia & W. Virginia, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, and California.
Oh, and Aruba. But that doesn't count because it's A) practically America and B) wasn't my choice (I hate beaches). But it's the only time I've ever needed a passport. I am thinking about taking the ferry from Rochester to Toronto (probably in the spring) and doing the "Rush Tour" of the city (which involves seeing all sorts of places referenced by the band in their music).
US. As a kid I went to Europe: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, England, Ireland, Spain, Italy, France - but as an adult I've only been to Spain and Ireland and the east coast of the US.
Kind of boring for me, since my only red countries are Australia, NZ, US and Canada. But I'm much more fascinated if this could be done (Google Map Hack anyone?) on the level of towns of highways. I have a great big map of Australia on a pin-board at home, with pins stuck in every town I've ever been in, and different coloured pins if I've stayed a night there. Moving this online would be great.
