That phrase doesn't work very well to help people remember what to do because you can spring backward (as if away from something) and fall forward (as in tripping). I switched it to "up" and "down" and only one way makes sense: spring up, fall down. "Up" is a higher number, "down" is a lower number. (Could it be otherwise? Could you think that up is a lower number and down is a higher number? I don't think so.)

i think slinky for spring forward, and fallback is just that--you go back.

(this post just disappeared and reappeared, btw--oooOOOOoooo)

Is it now? I thought it was tomorrow. Ie, Monday at 2am we adjust. Am I wrong?

Interesting. This site agrees with you, but my computer clock didn't automatically update.

Dumb computer clock.

kmellis, it works fine unless you overanalyze everything. ;-)

What was funny was my Mom getting the whole family to turn their clocks back last week, because of something unrelated she read.

Funny side note: the change from British Summer Time (their "savings time") managed to bork the Last.fm streaming server, so only people who were already listening could connect.

Spring ahead, Autumn behind.

HAHAHA SUCKERS!

I'm actually really glad I live in AZ, right now. The weather is cooling off nicely. It's actually getting to be below 70 F at night. It should be pretty balmy from now until spring.

AND I DON'T HAVE TO FUCK UP MY ALREADY SCREWY CIRCADIAN RHYTHMS JUST 'CAUSE SOME DOE/USDA SCHMUCK WANTS TO SAVE A FEW PENNIES WORTH OF ENERGY.

This'll be the first time in my life that I haven't had to mess around with that whole annoying daylight savings time crap. No setting of clocks, no losing an hour of sleep, no week or three of time confusion.

Thank you, Arizona. You may be home to Valley of the Zoned but you do a lot of things that just make perfect sense.

stilicho, I saw that at last.fm, but I thought it was just me for quite a while because I have lots of problems with my player. But then when I went to the users page and saw only 12 people "using" I figured there was something wrong.
