Always a Goonie! I just rewatched The Goonies last night.[More:]And I came to the conclusion that MeChatters are rather Goonie-ish (in a good way). Anyway, I was looking for a photo of the actor who played Sloth and ran across this and thought I'd share.

I will never betray my Goon Dock friends,
We will stick together till the whole world ends.
Through heaven and hell and nuclear war,
Good pals like us will stick like tar.
In the city or the country or the forest or the boonies,
I am proudly declared a fellow Goonie.

Did I mention I love this movie?
What did they call the Chunk dance? (Was it the "Chunk dance"?)

"HEY YOU GUYS!" It wasn't until about 5 years ago that people started to get it when I would shout that. I think that's around when the DVD came out.

The curse of being an eideteker is remembering funny things that no one else remembers, until they're repackaged/rereleased and then you're just another copycat. It's like that episode of Doug where this Luke Perry-type character on a popular show dresses just like Doug has always dressed and everyone accuses him of copying the TV character's style.

Oh, what the hell am I talking about? No one even remembers that episode. Does anyone even remember Doug?

(besides trips back, that is. but being dragged to see titanic on christmas does not count (else i'd have never seen it), deconstructing harry counts though. why are you people making me so distracting? i'm always missing the colbert and stewarts--)

That was my favorite movie for years. I had such a crush on Sean Astin, Josh Brolin, and Corey Feldman. All that cuteness in one movie...*sigh* It was almost too much to take! : )

I couldn't get over the shorts over sweats that Brand wears throughout the movie. I'd forgotten about that "look". Yikes.

The movie played no small part in me wanting to move the to the Pacific Northwest. To a girl in Southern California, Oregon looked like paradise.

Me too, eth!

And deborah, every time I go to the coast, I think of Goonies!
