so I dreamt of Mefi last night. →[More:]There was this long post in some weird language, and when I refreshed the page, it turned out to be Kannada (my mother tongue) and so I clicked on the comments incredulously, expecting to see a snark storm , but surprisingly enough (and this is how i knew it must be a dream) there were all these appropriate and civil comments about the post and the language.

That was a beautiful dream, dhruva.

I dreamed that I was talking to ethylene about the IRS, and she was telling me that she didn't have any money... and at some point in the conversation she said "I'm going to eat hungry for supper tonight" (in other words no food to eat, so she'll just have to eat the "hungry").

I thought that was a pretty cool saying to come out of a dream. (though, of course, I hope ethylene isn't starving!)

cali: one of the things about kannada script is that all the letters are either circular or curved. no straight lines. so.

I actually know a bhajan in Kannada, but I learned it phonetically and didn't know that the alphabet was so pretty...
