Document contains no Dada Mefi seems to have gone AWOL just as I was posting an exceedingly long and somewhat irrelevant answer to AskMefi.→[More:]Has this ever happened to you?

Dada should link to teh WikiPedia. Stupid HTML strippers. It worked in preview!

Yeah, I wrote up a huge screed to the "what happened to quonsar" MeTa thread and the site vanished half-way through. No surprise there.

I keep getting the 404s and "no data" etc. but I haven't lost a post in ages -- I'm using Firefox, though. ?

Yeah, if you use firefox you'll get a dialog saying 'document contains no data', while in IE you get a page saying that... and when you hit the 'back' button you get the same thing.

But what good is the post you typed out if you can't post it? Kind of pointless.

On the other hand, if you get a Jrun what happens?

I use Firefox but, perhaps because I use Portable Firefox at work and therefore have no cache, I lose the contents of the comment box if things go pear-shaped. I think. Anyway, I always copy the contents first, so no big deal. The use of a post that you can't post is that you can post it later.

Haven't had the Jruns for a while - they have been replaced with newer, better errors.
