Doesn't it just suck? I think we are on day 10, with a few more to go in the forecast. On the other hand, my house has not washed away so I guess I should count my blessings.

It's gone here today, finally!

I'd be fine with the weather if it wasn't for the rain - I actually like cool, cloudy, windy October days. But the rain's so damn relentless, and every time I come back home I have to change into something that is not sopping wet. Made the mistake of walking to a party last night, and by the time I arrived, I might as well have taken a freezing shower with all of my clothing on. Blech.

I just spent the afternoon pumping out the cellar. Using old push brooms to move vater in the low spots to the sump. Periodically pulling out the pump to clear clots of dust and sawdust and bristles and assorted other schmutz. We needed some rain. Now we have gotten it. Okay. Done now.
