Digital Music Channels on the cable TeeVee →[More:]
I went looking to see if I could find that Halloween channel (I might have, but it was playing something insane when I found it... channel called "sounds of the seasons") and discovered some interesting stuff. First thing, I found a station playing The Decemberists. Certainly beats the radio.

which cable system? I have Music Choice (TimeWarner)--but never ever listen to it.

I hardly ever go to the music channels at the end of the spectrum on Comcast, but I recall their alternative channel was actually alternative. I can't think of any examples now, but they were playing some new indie releases that surprised me. And one of the world channels kicked butt.
