What is wrong with people?
posted by Frisbee Girl 13 October | 09:04
Phoenix is resting in the special needs bunny ward, along with a blind rabbit and a bunny with a broken leg.

Reminds me of the cat killings we had here a while back. But that was Mohammed and Malvo, the DC snipers. We were looking for a disturbed teenager and had a general profile, but they did one attempted murder, blew town and ended up in DC. I brought in a forensic psychiatrist as a consultant, but the cops wouldn't do a thing.

At least in this case, they've got the perp identifed. The problem seems to be lack of witnesses for prosecution. But the perp's controlled, at least.

It also reminds me of Local Hero.

In related news, one of the most unintentionally funny newspaper covers in recent history:

That kid just checked off two parts of the homicidal triad with one act.

Scary.

that makes me sick.

there should be harsher laws to deal with such sadistic fucks, animal cruelty is very sick indeed

having said that, you have to admit that the charred-ears rabbit photo is unintentionally funny

Looks like the poor thing had an unfortunate mail-order experience similar to our friend Wile E. Coyote, outlined in the complaint Coyote v. Acme:

"...the premature detonation of Defendant`s
product resulted in the following disfigurements to Mr. Coyote:

1. Severe singeing of the hair on the head, neck, and muzzle.
2. Sooty discoloration.
3. Fracture of the left ear at the stem, causing the ear to dangle in the aftershock with a creaking noise.
4. Full or partial combustion of whiskers, producing kinking, frazzling, and ashy disintegration.

A person that fucked up needs to be locked up and the key thrown away.

the unintentionally funny part is that this was posted by bunnyfire

heh. I also find the story's closing sentence pretty unfortunate:

"We'll do whatever it takes to get justice for this bunny."

is very montypythonish

awful--people are so sick...

there are new ads in the Times Sq. subway from ASPCA--rebuses showing a sack, a brick, and a puppy, and other stuff like that.
