Bahstahn I'm headed to Boston today. I should be there through Monday. Feel free to e-mail me if you're in that area. I'm not going to call for a meetup, but hey, it's always cool to meet Metapeople.
Hey, my username is showing up as lowercase again. It should start with a capital 'E'! I thought one of the Supreme Overlords on the site had fixed that. Perhaps if I beg them now, they can reformat it.

Hm... there's something a bit ugly going on there. I think you will show up with a capital "E" now in comments, but I had to choose for it to show your last name, and enter "Eideteker" as your last name. A problem for dodgygeezer to sort. (The nickname had been changed, but it evidently only works on the front page, which is wacky.)

Anyway, 'til he does, make a comment here and let's see if the temp fix works.

Oh, never mind! It works. Retroactively, even.

Enjoy the city! The baseball meatheads are out in full force this weekend, for better or worse, so red and white are everywhere and the bars overfloweth.

If afghans live in afghanistan, and hindoos live in hindoostan, does that mean bahs live in bahstan?

The only trouble is, even natives with the hardest-core South Boston accents don't really pronounce "Boston" that way.

I can't figure out why Brits and Australians sound so cultured and Bostonians sound so grating (at least to me), given how close the sounds are.
