Come to us for a nice kosher dish! Brisket, cabbage, gefilte fish!
I was a bit bummed when this turned out to NOT be a deli, but I was won over by the sketchbook.

Well, kosher.com is a real site, if you've suddenly got the urge for some mailorder tongue (oo-er).

"Is a real site" was not a pun. I swear.

Good lord. Now I'm jonesing a trip back to 2nd Avenue Deli for a corned beef sandwich and a knish. I must start planning my next NY trip now...

2nd avenue? Screw That. Katz's on Houston & Ludlow is where it's at, boychik.

I only have one visit each to Katz's and 2nd Avenue Deli, but 2nd Avenue is the one that calls to me from far away. I guess I'll just have to plan for rematch visit.

do you speak of some covert amish jews who have underground delis i should know of?
the jews population does tend to thin out outside of the ny tri state area
as do the delis

Slack, Sarge's is good too, on 3rd Ave in the 30s, and there's a good one in the Garment district too.

Happy New Year. I assume that's what "v'shana tovah" means, but I'm a goy.

I have the next two days off work, thanks to my employment at a Jewish university.

And my good friend called me up to say she made brisket over the weekend, and we were invited around. Woo!

Not kosher, but I would kill for a Reuben sandwich just like my mom used to make.

I suspect the real history of the Reuben sandwich has yet to be written

It's a sandwich mystery!!!

There are so many great Jewish Delis in the Los Angeles/Orange County area and I made it my business to love each and every one of them.

But Raleigh. Not so much. Er... not at all.

Oh Cantors! How I miss your 65-year-old waitresses.
