Because it'll make me feel good... Some selections from Ronnie Spector, the Queen Of Rock 'N' Roll.→[More:]

First Ronnie covers the Beach Boys finest song then (with a little help from the late Joey Ramone) she takes a whack at a Johnny Thunders gem. Then there's this solo nugget from her 1999 comeback EP, and of course the classic that started it all for her and the most atomic rock and roll reworking of a Christmas song ever

It dosen't get much better, kids. Dig in.

Thank you thank you. Can jonmc or anyone recommend a various artists disc of Phil Spector (or Spector-ish) produced girl groups? I had a nice one I put together myself years ago but the CD has started to crumble.

If I'm not mistaken, Brian Wilson actually WROTE that song for Ronnie way back in the day, and Phil was too jealous to let her record it. I'm glad she finally did it!

nevermind, I remember now. it's a pretty rare Ramones song that I like a ton, but don't have a copy of. Ronnie's version is really nice, but it doesn't beat Joey's in my opinion.
