I am working from home today So I effectively have 3 more hours in the day (gained from my lack of commute). What wonderful things can I do in that time?
Rearrange the contents of your kitchen cupboard, first according to container type and then alphabetically

Build a pillow fort.
Invent a martial art, (make sure it involves rolling over furniture and flashlights).
Using only canned vegetables enpanel a grand jury and indict
the pears for being gritty.
Write a country song.
Sleep.

LeeJay, I am a big fan of cupboard organization. I have been known to come home at 4am, maybe under the influence of various substances, and alphabetize my pantry. Yep. Almonds top left, and so on.
my roommates were kind of non-plussed, but it was a lot of fun at the time.

I'm "working" at home right now too - and there it is, the pagemaker & photoshop files open right down there on the tool bar. Meanwhile, I'm looking at metachat and listening to the Clash really loud and drinking echinacea tea and hoping my cold bronchitis thing is really gone tomorrow. So put on the Clash & dance around your kitchen, is my advice. Echinacea tea optional.

You could freak out! That's what I'm doing!

Not really all that much fun, actually.

Play online, read your favourite magazines, listen to music and have a bubble bath.

Get up to check the mailbox, see the mail hasn't come yet, come back, check your e-mail, put a different CD on, get up to check the mail again, go to water the grass, see the hose is all tangled, detangle it, come back to check your e-mail, check your mailbox again, file your toenails, get out the stuff to make lunch, decided not to have lunch yet but leave the food defrosting on the counter for the next four hours (oops!), come back to your computer, check your e-mail again, fiddle with the one toenail that didn't get filed quite right, get up to check your mailbox again, sit down and do 15 minutes worth of work. Then finally make lunch.

Boy, that was exhausting!

I am working from home too, as I do every Thurday morning and I am about to do what I generally do - use the time to catch up on housework.

Man, I am boring.

dg, I totally wish I had done that. Instead I

* played a lot of bridge on the internet
* went for a walk
* made beef burgundy
* watched last night's Daily Show.

eh, not too bad. I still need to vacuum though.
