So many have you have shared lovely music. Would you please go back through your old posts and link them here? I'm a lazy Specklet, and don't want to miss anything.
Inspired by dodgy's post below.

Wow, that is lazy!

I think poor little Specklet is largely out of luck. Yousendit links -- the bulk of the mecha songs, I'm guessing -- expire after seven days.

As a consolation prize, here's one that's less than a week old: Young James Dean.

You know, I opened up mp3dia so that I could post Audioblogs to MetaChat... I could probably archive all the music that's been posted. Except I didn't download it all.

Most of mine have expired, but here's three gems from the "danceable songs" thread, where I went all old-school:

Betty Wright - Shoorah Shoorah

Celia Cruz, Tito Puente & Johnny Pacheco - Quimbara

Allen Toussaint - Soul Sister

and here's a bonus mp3 laden link to my MeFi FPP of yesterday

Ah, I didn't realize they expire! Foolish Specklet.

And thank, me3dia.

Thread hijack: jonmc, have you ever heard of Wilderness Road? They were a Chicago-based folk-rock band who put out two albums in the early 1970s. They were Second City alums, and given to theatricality (one album is the soundtrack to a "mythic western" they never got around to making). (Paul Nelson of Rolling Stone really loved them.)

No, I have not. They sound interesting, though.

Email me if you'd like to hear them. I could email the songs (18 songs over two albums), yousendit them, or --gasp-- snail mail them. (I work with their guitarist, who informs me that the record company is waiting until the band members die before releasing a CD so they don't have to pay royalties.)

well, from a great chat i had with mosch and fris last night, here's a funky radio take. not yousendit btw. and this too (the original of the yazz cover.)

This is also brilliant, mpg vid. it's a fantastic multi-layered (courtesy of some phenomenal midi footpedal doohickie) 1-woman gig from KT Tunstall at the brit mercury awards. no longer on the bbc site so im glad i saved it. and had to convert it to mpg since realplayer was bollocks, mostly. might be best to d/l this as my host dont stream too good. it's worth it.

(mosch, fris, the download works now.)

see also this mp3 blog i posted a short time ago. free to listen, register to d/l.

hope you enjoy, specklet.
