Lady Justice Lucy
Y'know, along with Mister Rogers, I credit Charles Schultz with infusing me (and most of my demographic) with whatever gentleness we possess*. And I always identified with Charlie Brown.

And Lucy, well, she always struck me as a perfect enacpsulation of what not to like in someone: selfishness, excesive self-regard, mean-spiritedness, greed, etc. So I'm not sure why she'd be a choice for a statue of justice.

*oddly (or maybe not, depending on how you look at it) both men were WWII combat vetereans.

also, you'll probably find this amusing.

I keep forgetting that you're not an American. Rawhide was a popular TV western that featured a young Clint Eastwood. It's theme song has been a cult classic shorthand for all things cowboy. That was a version sung by a bunch of Scotsmen, which makes it funny as hell, if you grew up with it.

I thought Scottish Rawhide was something you got from wearing a kilt.

As for Lucy, even in Sunday's Peanuts rerun she's still pulling the football away from Charlie Brown... sounds like Bush's ideal choice to replace O'Connor.
Bleh.

(jonmc, Fred McFeely Rogers never served in the military, despite the urban legend)

(and Schultz's 20th Armored only saw 8 days of combat, but he was there)

(I am such an ass)
