I have my life back!

The play I was in has been performed. I think we rocked.

Of course the two bottles of wine at each table at the dinner theater didn't hurt.

Lest there be misunderstanding, there were 0 bottles of wine backstage where we were. But they let us have appetizers.

It was an original play by a very talented friend of mine. It followed the story of 4 medical residents in a family practice resident program ('twas a fundraiser....the audience was mostly docs who could afford to drop 75 bucks a ticket. ) I played a very redneck patient. Yeah, it was a stretch. ;-)

Kudos and bravos, but from my past experience with actors of all sorts (including dabbling in the practice myself), I find that a successful stage performance represents less "getting your life back" than getting a life that is not your own... not that here's anything wrong with that.

Actually I was referring to the fact I don't have to go to rehearsals now. Which were numerous.
