OK, I thought plastic surgery was supposed to make you look good? He just looks freaky. Eeeww.

Yuck yuck yuck. I seriously think these people are mentally ill.

Good god, how disturbing.

To me this is like a different form of the mental illness that makes people cut themselves. Except here, people charge them lots of money and help them obliterate themselves, instead of getting them some couch time.

Finally someone that looks more freaky than Michael Jackson.

But is he all smooth in the nether regions? Good lord I hope so, because he should not reproduce.

I heard michaels been working out, trying to toughen his image. He could have just gotten bicsep and peck implants.

Holy shit, but that guy is ugly. Normally I'd feel bad saying that -- actually, I normally wouldn't say it at all -- but in this case...

He so ugly...

I saw an interview with him on a tv show last week. He was so freaky and plastic. He looked amazingly good from the back though, which was weird. When he turned around, he had huge manboobs.

Also, he's really old. I was wondering how he paid for all of these surgeries. He said he was a makeup artist to huge stars of the 50s, stars like William Holden and Robert Mitchum. So even if by 1950s he meant 1959, if he was doing their faces when he was 20, he'd be at least 65 now, and is probably closer to 70, or even older. Freaky.

I doubt he's 70. I'm guessing he was their makeup artist AFTER they were famous, putting him closer to late 50s early 60s.

By the way, if I walked into a salon and this guy was looking at me, I'd walk right back out again. In a second.

These perfection-seeking plastic surgeries fall into the whatamacallit gap where things look almost but not quite real and end up being just creepy. I have no philosophical problem with body mods, and it'd be way cooler if people did extensive plastic surgery to look very different from supposed natural human perfect. It's sort of strange, really, in my opinion, that it's acceptable for this sort of supposedly "normal" freakiness but intentional freakiness is unacceptable. Oh well, I guess I answered my own question.

There's the Uncanny Valley, and then there's the Uncanny Grand Canyon.

This guy lives at the bottom of the Uncanny Marianas Trench shuckin' open oysters with his chin and singin' bizarre sea chanties to whatever weird sea life that happens to be wandering by.

There's a shirtless photo over on Awful Plastic Surgery.

Look at his tits! Huge tits!

And the same doctor as jacko? Why hasn't this guy been shutdown?

he looks disgusting. a horror.
posted by amberglow 22 September | 21:02
Yeah, he's ugly, but on the other hand I have nothing but empathy for those with body dysmorphic disorder. They really don't see what we see.

AND!

Why in hell do doctors allow this to happen? All I can think is that money blinds them. They (doctors) certainly can see that these people aren't right in the head.

Could he be the first person to have ever walked backwards into the Uncanny Valley?

Give him another 50 years, he'll look like Rosie from the Jetsons, and won't be quite as scary. Other than being 110 years old and looking like a robot maid, I mean.

Also, what deborah said. Doctors are supposed to help others... if a person is obviously mutilating him/herself, I think the doc should recommend therapy, not another tummy tuck.

But of course, nobody will say no to a rich guy, which is why this fellow and Michael Jackson have been allowed to destroy their bodies like this. Ugh.

Dreadful. Odd how people who get plastic surgery seem to lose all perspective as to what actually looks good on them.
