teece: I have tried a bunch of them and find that Chatzilla works best. Worth installing Firefox even if you don't use the browser. Plus no nag screens for purchasing.

kenko, I finally accepted the fact that fixing my old laptop would cost almost as much as a new one. So I went over to the 'loin, sold a random organ (I mean, the Good Lord gave us two kidneys for a reason, right? Plus, I really haven't eaten enough ramen this year.) and now I have a nifty new laptop. She even smells new.

So, I've asked this before and I'll ask it again: has anyone bottled new computer smell yet?

Actually, it's new computer: small and though cleverly called a laptop it's a good distance from my lap as I type from the non-seated, sleepy comfort of my bed.

Life is grand.
