Because I'm Hanging Around Being Lazy: The Big Five Personality Test. I found it via this, which is a bookmark on my loaner computer.→[More:]Apparently, thinking this: "Others tend to be too casual, often irresponsible, self-indulgent, or incompetent" is a sign of being nuts. I always though it was a sign of being observant.

And, yes, I did score high on Openness, Conscientiousness, and Nueroticism, and low on Agreeableness.

Sorry, yhbc. CBT is cognitive behavioral therapy. Basically, you take bad or irrationl thoughts and replace them with adaptive or rational ones. It's big for anxiety disorders. I did it for panic attacks (and it worked), but I can't convince myself to believe adaptive but untrue things, so sometimes it doesn't work.

And jon, drinking doesn't make me want to break things.

what's wrong with you? One time I got drunk and knocked down trashcans from lincoln center all the way up to 79th street. Only two things are truly fun, making stuff and breaking stuff.

What you do when you get drunk is

a)hit on unnatainable women
b)start fights
c)listen to your favorite songs and get sentimental
d)belch and fart a lot then pass out
e)all of the above

in short, most of us get drunk to avoid our feelings, since in a drunken state they'll only come out distorted anyway. I remember a kegger in college where I got really lit and went up to this girl and said "You're beautiful." "You're loaded," she said. "You're beautiful independent of my being loaded," I fired back, "and I'd really like to kiss you." "That won't happen," she said, and I wandered outside to pee on the lawn.

Of course I've been drinking since noon and I'm on my 12th beer. I also had some frozen White Castles that I topped with some horseradish. Thanks kmellis. I am more conscientious/organized than mr_crash, something like the 97th percentile. And I find the predisposition to messiness and irresponsibility among all you people appalling. I'm glad you're only my imaginary friends, because in real life you'd be all late and disorganized, and then I'd have to kill you. Or stop being your friend.
