Woohoo! Web Fun for Winos! Emcee 5 is on! Create a wine label for the Mecha Winery.→[More:]

As discussed here. Copy the blank label below, and go to town. When you're finished send your label to me, and I will format it for the pages.

You can change the label layout if you wish (see me3dia's label as an example), but just don't exceed the width or height of the template (and fill in any background with black). Paticipants are welcome to do as many labels as they'd like. Have fun!

Delightful and humorous labels from m3dia and taz so far. Seeing your fine work, I am even more determined to, some day, figure out how to use fonts effectively.

I'm making another, but .. the type part is still eluding me. Experimentation rules atm.

A question: The previous emcee collaborations.. what size template were you using ? (Playing PST, all my efforts have been 1600x1200 up until now.)

Cool, kids! I've added the new labels.

Reflecked, the image sizes for previous emcees (the exquisite corpse panels) were 315 pixels wide by 375 pixels deep, and I've made all mine exactly that size. In other words, I didn't start out with a larger size then reduce it.

Thanks, taz. Of course they are exactly the e.c. size; I don't know what I was thinking (or not, as the case may be).

mudpuppie's label is funny too, and I like the strong colours. Deborah's woodcut label is lovely.

This was an enjoyable exercise, even after getting in touch with my typography-avoidance demons.

mudpuppies' wording confused me. I thought it was a typo-ed "cojones", then realized that cajones could be referring to those large conga drums.

It's true, deborah. I can't tell what kind of wine you're referring to.. whisper it in my ear? =D

I laughed at the "vin ... fou", deborah. I swear that galloping rabbit in the middle is on a sign down the road from here (a "bunny crossing" sign).

Alright, alright: Inlehy means moonshine.

Any French "weirdness" can be blamed on Google translation. My last French class was long, long ago.

The running rabbit was swiped ..er.. borrowed from the 'net and tweaked to fit the label.

I did mine.
It's a piece of modern art. In it's use of shading and composition, the sublime way I reference the past masters, it's bold use of new media. A classic, and when you see it, I think you'll agree.
