England won something??

pardon me, it's been a long time since I kept up with England.

Haha as an American I LOVE cricket. I started watching Ashes back in what, early August? And England won 2-1-2? Now that's a sport.

My first thought was, "Whose ashes?"

Way to go, Brits!

Kevin Pietersen smashed his first ever Test century to earn the draw that gave England a 2-1 series win and the Ashes for the first time since 1987.

That first paragraph is completely unintelligible to me.

That whole article is totally incomprehensible. And I even went and tried to understand cricket and test cricket if only to try to understand what the hell Douglas Adams was talking about.

I'm entirely convinced that this whole "cricket/krikket" thing is indeed a cruel joke.

No, no, don't bother to try to explain. The less said about this incredibly rude behaviour the better.

loq, if you're in the US and can watch AZNTV, then you can watch some cricket. Check the listings. The next program's in a few days.

See? Bloody single-minded fanatics being malicious and cruel, even when I've asked them not to. I've watched some cricket in the past - for scientific purposes, mind you. I must insist that the entire thing is in rather poor taste.

I've always felt that all cricket needed was a good disco soundtrack instead of commentators.
