Very unfortunate presentation by the gallery site here; the link will resize your browser for no good reason; the collection doesn't have its own page and you can't proceed from image to image - you have to close each new window and go back to her main page for each separate image link. All of which means I would normally never link this site... but these portraits are amazing; it's hard to believe they are paintings.
I just finished reading Lester Bang's Psychotic Reactions And Carburator Dung. His interviews (if you can call them that- they're practically fistfights) with Lou Reed, from the early 70s, reminded me of why Reed used to be considered so damn scary.
