I was in Mexico overnight, spent the night, and got bitten. The bedbug thing in hotels is more common than I first thought. They, according to exterminators we have hired, come into a place in people's suitcases and then go hide in electric plugs etc until human flesh buffets check in. You have to bomb the room (not literally of course) and then come back in 21 days cause the little buggers like to breed a LOT and the kids move out three weeks later.
Auggghhh! Are you trying to make me crazy? I have a thing about parasites, and my roommate gave me her old futon which I will now be paranoid about having next to my bed...It will not be surprising if I spend the rest of the night searching for signs of bedbugs and scratching nonexistant bites.
Actually, this is pretty helpful for me. We're trying to figure out what on earth is eating my son at night. I've been laundering all his linens and stuffies and everything every day in hot water, but still the poor thing looks like a bug buffet. I wonder if the stuffie his greatgrandparents gave him from their last cruise trip was infested.
So, thanks for the tip, actually...now I have to go get more examples of what I'm looking for, and how to kill it, just in case it's bedbugs and not mosquitoes.
