The Physics of Karate Strikes (.pdf)

Cool. I remember seeing a book a few years ago called The Physics of Baseball where it explained the physics behind the curveball, among other things. I remember as a kid, my Mom didn't believe that a curveball actually curved, she sthought it was an optical illusion. Me and my Dad tried to convince her. Later at a school book fair, I bought a book called Strange But True Baseball Stories where a story says that pitcher (who's name escapes me) once arranged three poles on a baseline and managed to pitch a curveball around them. Always cool to have proof.
